COURSE OVERVIEW
The CPC31320 Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling provides a trade qualification for tiling work in residential and commercial construction. This course covers essential construction industry skills along with specialized training in wall and floor tiling.
Tilers work with materials such as ceramic, glass, slate, marble, and clay. Their tasks include cutting these materials and laying tiles on interior and exterior walls and floors, sometimes incorporating decorative elements into their work.
This hands-on course is delivered on the job, allowing participants to develop, refine, and validate their skills.
WHO IS it for?
This qualification is ideal for those currently performing wall and floor tiling tasks in the building and construction industry and looking to become fully qualified to advance their careers. It is also valuable for those preparing for the new Victorian Building Authority trades registration requirements approved by the Victorian Government.
Holding this qualification will assist tilers in demonstrating compliance with the relevant standards outlined in the National Construction Code.
TUITION FEES
State government funding is available for this qualification through the Victorian Skills First Funding Program. For the Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling, Skills First funding is only available to participants who are Apprentices.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be employed by a company and working as tilers. Self-employed individuals are not eligible to undertake an apprenticeship.
VICTORIAN SKILLS FIRST ELIGIBILITY
You may be eligible for Skills First funding if you:
Are an Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or hold an approved bridging, protection, safe haven, or humanitarian visa
Live in Victoria
Must be currently employed or about to start employment as a tiling apprentice in Victoria.
