Course OVERVIEW
The Dual CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction and
CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) is designed for builders and managers of small to medium-sized businesses.
This online course is delivered by registered builders in a real or closely simulated workplace setting. It covers essential skills and industry knowledge required for the building and construction sector.
Upon successful completion, you will have the necessary knowledge to apply for registration as a Domestic Builder (Unlimited) with the Victorian Building Authority. Additional requirements apply—please refer to the Victorian Building Authority website for more details.
WHO IS it For?
This dual qualification is ideal for those new to the building and construction industry with less than three years of experience. If you have more than three years of experience or are currently working in the industry, the Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) is recommended.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
There are no formal prerequisite qualifications. However, applicants should be currently or recently employed in the building and construction industry.
TUTION FEES
State government funding is available for this qualification through the Victorian Skills First funding program. Eligible participants will not have to pay tuition fees.
RESOURCES
Classes are delivered remotely via Zoom. Learning and assessment materials are available in digital format through an online Learning Management System (LMS).
Students will need their own computer with a reliable internet connection to:

Track progress and respond to trainer requests
Access to publicly available websites is required for learning and assessment tasks, with relevant links provided through the LMS.
While most assessments can be completed online, some documents may need to be printed, completed manually, scanned, and uploaded for submission.
